Our Story

ROMS, Inc. was founded in Tokyo on June 3, 2019 with a clear mission: to transform retail and supply chain operations with digital and automation technology. What began as an engineering challenge—how to maximize storage density in minimal space—has evolved into a comprehensive suite of automation solutions.

Our journey started with developing compact, high-density storage systems that could fit in spaces traditional automation couldn't reach. Our flagship Nano-Stream system delivers 2-3x storage capacity and 4-6x picking productivity improvements in facilities starting from just 1,000 square feet.

Today, ROMS operates globally with headquarters in Tokyo and a U.S. office in San Mateo, California. Our Made in Japan systems—fully designed and developed in-house—serve leading retailers, e-commerce companies, and logistics providers who demand the highest levels of efficiency and reliability.
